Lady Black Mambazo are an experience unto themselves. The Grammy-winning a capella group tours the world each year celebrating the culture of South Africa and sending a message of peace and harmony wherever they go. For the next few weeks, New Yorkers will be fortunate enough to get two chances to see the group, who are likely best known to American audiences for their appearance on Paul Simon’s Graceland. On January 31st, the group will be at the Brooklyn Center for an enlightening performance. After that, the group will travel upstate to the Bardavon to dazzle the crowds in Poughkeepsie on February 8th. Seeing them is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so you had better act fast.
