If you play guitar (or even if you like hearing people play guitar), then you should know who Leo Kottke is. The acoustic virtuoso has been performing for over 45 years, playing everything from jazz to blues to folk as filtered through his singular style of fingerpicking. Mentored by the late John Fahey, Kottke has a bit of his mentor’s style in him. Make no mistake, though: Kottke’s work is all his own, and it has drawn in such collaborators as Rickie Lee Jones and Chet Atkins. Right now, Kottke’s on a tour that brings him to the Sweetwater Music Hall. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
