In 2012, when the city of Austin declared February 9th to be Shakey Graves Day, the man behind the moniker, Alejandro Rose-Garcia, was so moved he wanted to find a way to give back to his many fans.
Thus began a tradition of using the day to offer his music for free. This year is no exception, and to celebrate the fourth Shakey Graves Day, an 11-track EP of B-Sides and previously unreleased rarities will be available for download on his Bandcamp page. Additionally, until the end of tomorrow, his latest album And the War Came, as well as all of the rest of his discography, will be available for a “Name Your Own Price” donation.
You can find his music and get downloading here.
And if this doesn’t satisfy your Shakey Graves craving, or leaves you wanting more, make sure to check him out when he performs on Letterman this Friday, February 13th.
