Not too long ago, Elmore premiered the title track off of Tom Paxton’s upcoming album, Redemption Road. The poetic, folksy track was a slow, reflective ballad, showing off the more serious side of this legendary artist.
This time, we bring you another track from the album: “Skeeters’ll Geitcha” featuring the one and only John Prine. Paxton’s bountiful playfulness and sense of humor, a hallmark of his beloved children’s albums, is evident in this fun and upbeat track, showing that even as a 77-year-old, he still has the heart of a child, which he displays through an unabashed sense of whimsy.
Listen to the cute, kid-friendly track, in advance of the March 10 release of Redemption Road, below.
Looking forward to hearing/seeing Tom and Janis on March 7th at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. Longtime fan…..
77 years old? That can’t be right. If Tom’s 77, that means I’m……. Ohmygodalmighty!!!!!!!
