Jeff Austin has more than proved himself as a member of the Yonder Mountain String Band, but the singer/instrumentalist is set to burst out on his own in 2015. Austin has assembled a hand-picked band (including Cody Dickinson from North Mississippi All-Stars) to record and perform his first collection of solo songs, The Simple Truth. The album shows many different sides of Jeff’s music, from tender folk to  the driving country-rock demonstrated on the album highlight “What The Night Brings.”

The video for “What The Night Brings,” which you can watch below, presents Austin and his band playing the song live. According to Austin, the simple presentation was in keeping with the spirit of the song. “This song came on in a flash…but, waited years to be fully realized,” Austin said. “I couldn’t be prouder of the way the guys played on this track. And, now the video evidence is there for all to see.”

Right now, fans can catch Jeff Austin in Austin as he makes his way down to South By Southwest. After that, he’ll be on tour through the spring. Check out a full list of tour dates below:
