Look below for an exclusive, free download of “Tailwind (It’s a Beautiful Day),” the new single from pop singer/songwriter Peter Kelly.

With a sound reminiscent of pop-rock groups like Train and the Fray, the Berklee College of Music-educated Kelly crafts a radio-friendly tune that centers on his brightly strummed acoustic guitar, even more brightly sung vocals and aggressively optimistic lyrics. “Tailwind (It’s a Beautiful Day)” also calls to mind the late-’90s, Canadian band Barenaked Ladies with its half spoken, half rapped refrains.

Kelly, who began his career in 2012 with the Forever, Again EP, has performed at the United Nations Correspondence Awards Ceremony and had his song “Oz” featured in a short film that aired on the Starz network. He released his latest full-length album last month and seems a good bet to continue to ply his turn-of-the-millennium style, pop-rock, singer/songwriter music well into the future.
