Jam band favorites Phish will hit the road for two and a half months this summer. In addition to announcing the dates for this tour, the band announced the dates for their festival, this year dubbed Magnaball, to be held in Watkins Glen, NY. Magnaball will be the tenth incarnation of Phish’s festival, beginning in 1996 as the Clifford Ball and last staged in 2011 as Super Ball IX. Tickets for Magnaball are on sale as of today.
Phish begins the tour in late July because frontman Trey Anastasio will be busy earlier in the month, filling in for the late Jerry Garcia at the Grateful Dead’s highly anticipated 50th anniversary shows in Chicago.
