Robert Plant has announced the dates for a tour with his band the Sensational Space Shifters, beginning May 24 with an appearance at the Sasquatch! Festival in George, WA and ending June 17 with a show in Philadelphia. Also as a part of the tour, Plant will be one of the headliners at Bonnaroo on the weekend of June 12. Of note, the Pixies will open for Plant at five of his shows in June.
Plant is touring behind his unfortunately titled but well received solo album from last year, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, which was his first album of all-original songs in over a decade. Fans can likely expect Plant and his band to continue their genre spanning efforts from the recent album—particularly if the long list of instruments played by the various members of the Sensational Space Shifters is any indication.
In addition to going on tour, Plant will a live EP titled More Roar on Record Store Day, April 18. Full dates for the Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters can be found below:
