The Rolling Stones are hitting the road again, and they’re visiting some places they haven’t been to in a while. This morning, the band announced a new 15-date North American tour. The ‘Zip Code’ tour kicks off on May 24th in San Diego and wraps up on July 15th in Quebec.
The tour coincides with the reissue of the Stones’ 1971 classic Sticky Fingers. The album, which features several Stones standards as well as iconic cover art from Andy Warhol, inspired both the name of the tour and will play in the band’s setlists. The reissue will include “a generous selection of Stones outtakes,” including an acoustic rendition of “Wild Horses” a version of “Brown Sugar” with Eric Clapton on lead guitar.
In a statement, Mick Jagger promised that the band would revisit some “special gems” in their catalogue on the tour. “We love being out on the road and it is great to come back to North America,” Keith Richards added in the statement. “I can’t wait to get back on the stage!”
Check out the tour dates and a trailer for the tour below. All US tickets go on sale on April 13th; tickets for the Quebec show go on sale on April 11th. The reissue of Sticky Fingers comes out on May 26th.
