Whitehorse is the musical union of Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland; while the pair have had their share of success on their own, Whitehorse seems like the perfect fit for the two of them. With their new album, Leave No Bridge Unburned, the Canadian folk duo are looking beyond their typical influences in order to truly flourish. Drawing inspiration from the urban/suburban divide and a shared love of the American South, Whitehorse’s new music is a sort of Southern gothic epic that catches fire in all the right ways. Live, the band create a fuller sound than one would expect from two musicians, but these aren’t any two musicians.
