Identical twin singer/songwriters Nalani and Sarina pack a double load of soulful punch, and with their lyrical wisdom and style that feels at once both fresh and classic, the sisters have impressed audiences at venues from the Stone Pony to the Bitter End.
Instrumentalists as well as vocalists, the twins play guitar, piano and ukulele, but they have also attracted an accomplished roster as backing musicians on their record, including Will Lee and Tom “Bones” Malone, members of the house band for The Late Show With David Letterman, as well as Tommy Mandel, the keyboardist for Bryan Adams.
In June 2015, the sisters will release their latest EP, Scattered World, as a follow up to their full-length debut album, Lessons Learned. Elmore is offering a free download of one of the EP’s new songs, “We’ll Be Free.” On this funky, rhythmic jam, Nalani and Sarina demonstrate tight harmonies and captivating, growling pipes. From tight, belted harmonies, to syncopated, raspy shouts, it’s clear why the young pair is winning people over in double time.
