Let’s try this again: Morrissey is heading out on the road for an arena tour of the United States. The tour is scheduled to kick off in June; though no openers have been selected, Blondie and Amanda Palmer will be performing with Morrissey on certain dates of the tour.
This marks Morrissey’s third attempt at a North American tour in four years. The last two times that the Moz toured the U.S., his visit was cut short by health issues. Last year, he revealed that he had been battling cancer over the past few years, but his most recent tour of Europe only had one cancelled show, so that’s promising.
The tour is in support of World Peace Is None Of Your Business, Morrissey’s most recent record which has become something of a scarce commodity since the singer took the album out of stores and streaming services following a spat with Harvest Records. Morrissey has claimed that he’s started work on a new album, but he’s kept quiet about when it will be released or what label will release it.
