2015 marks two big arrivals for Jamie Lin Wilson: the release of her album, Holidays & Wedding Rings, and the birth of her third child, a baby boy named Thomas Roy. Fittingly, Wilson’s personal life and musical career have always been carefully intertwined, and her music is known for its deeply personal lyrics.
The Texas singer/songwriter began her musical career while at Texas A&M University, where she helped form the Gougers, and later teaming up spontaneously with friends Kelley Mickwee, Savannah Welch and Liz Fosters to become the Trishas, named for country legend Trisha Yearwood.
Holidays & Wedding Rings is Wilson’s first solo release, and she single-handedly penned many of the songs. For the rest of the country and Americana tinged tracks, she teamed up with some pals, including fellow artists Jon Dee Graham, Mike Messick and Heather Morgan. She duets with Wade Bowen on “Just Some Things,” which he also co-wrote.
Holidays & Wedding Rings will be released on May 19th.
