Legendary rock heroes the Who will kick off their upcoming ‘The Who Hits 50!’ tour tomorrow, April 15, in Tampa, FL. Unfortunately, this may be the last huge tour for the group, who have been going strong since 1965. That said, according to lead singer Roger Daltrey, the rehearsals have been going great, adding, “It’s not like we don’t know the songs! I mean, the band is just amazing; as fresh as ever.”
As for the setlist, Daltrey said, “We just throw it in the air. It is what it is. The thing we try and do is move people; take them high and bring them low. If you get one song in the wrong place, it throws the mood. It doesn’t carry the audience. It puts them off balance.” The Who have been moving audiences for a whopping five decades now, and it sounds like they’re only getting better at it.
