Some people show off their musical genius at a young age, and Sean Watkins is a perfect example of that. The guitarist started Nickel Creek with his sister Sara and childhood friend Chris Thile when he was just 12 years old, and they eventually went on to become one of the most popular and innovative groups in all of bluegrass. Nickel Creek have since disbanded and reunited, but Watkins has carved out an interesting musical path in his solo career. His latest album, All I Do Is Lie, feels like a proper solo debut for Watkins; it positions him away from his legacy with Nickel Creek and into a new, exciting place. You can see him this year on his first solo tour, which finds him stopping at St. Louis. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
