Lockn’ Festival has announced the lineup for the 2015 iteration of it Interlocking Music Festival. Located at the Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, VA, the Lockn’ Festival specializes in having its headline artists play two unique sets on different days over the course of the festival’s four days, particularly emphasizing collaborations and tributes.
Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Widespread Panic and Gov’t Mule will all play two different sets. The String Cheese Incident will also contribute two performances, one in conjunction with the Doobie Brothers as the Doobie Incident and another under their own name. Similarly, the Tedeschi Trucks Band will be performing both under their usual auspices and also as Mad Dogs & Englishmen, paying tribute to Joe Cocker with assistance from Leon Russell, Dave Mason, Doyle Bramhall II and others. Phil Lesh & Friends will also perform twice, with the list of friends including Chris Robinson for one set and Carlos Santana and Warren Haynes for the other. Other highlights include a celebration of 50 years of Jefferson Airplane from Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady with special guests, as well as sets from the North Mississippi Allstars, Trombone Shorty, Hot Tuna and Steve Earle and the Dukes.
