Folk-rock legend Stephen Stills has just announced plans for a month-long solo tour of the United States. The CSN member/Buffalo Springfield alum has promised a set consisting of old favorites as well as some never-before-heard new material.
Stills’ tour kicks off in Virginia on July 6th, two months after his two-night stand with Crosby and Nash at Brooklyn’s new Kings Theatre. Joining Stills on this tour are CSN touring musicians Kevin McCormick (bass) and Todd Caldwell (keyboards), as well as drummer Mario Calire. The tour will continue across the country until August, when Stills wraps things up in California.
While Stills has promised to premiere some new songs on the tour, it remains to be seen whether he will follow in the steps of bandmate David Crosby and release a new solo album. All three members of CSN are putting the group on hold temporarily to pursue solo projects, which isn’t unheard of from them, so expect some sort of reunion in the near future. For those of you holding out for a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young reunion, well…we’d advise you not to hold your breath.
