Country icon Steve Earle went back to the blues for his newest album, Terraplane, and the results are excellent. The singer/songwriter just shared the video for his latest single, “You’re The Best Lover That I Ever Had,” on CMT.com today, and it features an appearance by one of the hallowed temples of rock ‘n’ roll. Recorded at the famed Electric Lady Studios in New York City, the video features Earle and his band The Dukes performing the sinewy blues number live in the studio. Earle has never sounded as smooth as he does here; it turns out that the blues are a good fit for him. You can check out the video below.
