The sheer number of festivals these days can be overwhelming, and for those of us who have to be choosy with our cash, it can be tough to pick the perfect one to suit our needs and provide maximum fun.
Enter Green River Festival, a low-key, family friendly affair that’s been getting some serious buzz: this year, both Rolling Stone and USA Today ranked the event among their picks for the top festivals in the country. Taking place from July 10-12 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, Green River Fest boasts a stellar line-up, featuring quite a few Elmore darlings, from Steve Earle & the Dukes to the Punch Brothers to the Milk Carton Kids, as well as recently featured artists Sean Rowe, Heather Maloney and Eilen Jewell.
Check out an exclusive first peek at the fest’s promo video, with highlights from the lineup that are guaranteed to get you excited. If you need some extra convincing, just take a look at those cute little hot air balloons. They’re a teaser for yet another festival staple: hot air balloon launches! And if you want to do more than watch, rides are available all weekend long.
Weekend passes are only $99, but don’t delay, because this fest has been known to sell out quick. Check out the video below, and visit the Festival’s site here for more info and to purchase tickets.
