In 2011, American band Leftover Cuties from Los Angeles released their sophomore album, Places To Go. Among the versatile tracks on the record, packed with old-fashioned instrumentation and pop-infused vocals reminiscent of Australian singer Lenka, “I Would” was a fan favorite for its creeping bass lines, sinister alto, and background choral accompaniment.

Four years later, Leftover Cuties have released a music video for “I Would” that is nothing less than beautiful. Set against a stunning LA sunset, lead singer Shirli McAllen strummed her ukulele while bandmate Austin Nicholsen played the upright bass, performing an especially poignant live acoustic version of the track. McAllen’s lush vocals delicately singing lyrics like “It’s been too long/Not enough to forget/That I’m not that strong/At least not yet” are stark when paired with the stunning cinematography of the video itself.
