Rhiannon Giddens is best known as a member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, but lately she’s been making waves on her own. She was the standout performer on last year’s all-star collaboration on Bob Dylan’s Basement Tapes tribute (and given that that features Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford, and T Bone Burnett, that’s saying something), and her solo debut, Tomorrow Is My Turn, shows someone who has finally come out of their artistic shell.
