Loud and Proud Records’ bread and butter is new releases from acclaimed, established artists like Lynyrd Skynyrd. “But in some instances, such as with The Delta Saints,” said label president Tom Lipsky, “we can’t resist signing exceptional new talent.” With a blues/roots barrage drawing on Skynyrd as well as Jack White, the Black Keys, Led Zeppelin and more, the Delta Saints are now set to release their first album for Loud and Proud. Bones, their follow-up to 2012’s Death Letter Jubilee, will hit stores on August 7. With producer Eddie Spear (a Third Man Records veteran who’s worked with Jack White, Neil Young and Arctic Monkeys) on board, the Delta Saints have captured their freewheeling sound on record.
