Here at Elmore, we love how many festivals there are to pick and choose from these days. But sometimes doesn’t it all feels just a bit… hedonistic? If you’re looking to jam out and soothe your guilty soul with some serious do-gooding, look no further than Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival’s “Taste of Grey Fox.”
In an effort to follow that golden rule of leaving a place better than you found it, Grey Fox is hosting a day concert on the final Sunday of the Fest, July 19th, to benefit the food banks of Greene County, where the festival takes place every year. From 10am to 3pm, the HillBenders, the Lonely Heartstrings, Mollie O’Brien, the Grey Fox Bluegrass Academy for Kids (aww!) and many more will take the stage to provide you with an afternoon of good tunes and better vibes.
The event is free, but donations are welcome—by cash or goods—and all proceeds will go directly to Community Action of Greene County, which supplies the area’s food banks. As just one more incentive, every person who donates will be entered to win a pair of tickets to return for Grey Fox 2016! And trust us, you’ll definitely want to head back for round two.
