Kicking off a national tour of the Morrison Hotel Gallery’s acclaimed Behind The Lens live show and photography exhibition, world-renowned photographers Henry Diltz and Pattie Boyd will exhibit their work as part of this year’s Americana Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee. In keeping with the Behind The Lens format, Diltz and Boyd will not only display their work throughout the Fest, they’ll also participate in a live show in which they’ll offer rare insight into some of the iconic shots they’ve captured, and share stories from their legendary careers rubbing elbows with the biggest names in rock history.
Diltz, who will premiere photographs of Glen Campbell and his family at the event, has a rich history with Elmore– he was recently featured in our 10th Anniversary issue, and his work has appeared on several Elmore covers. Even if you don’t know his name, trust us, you know his work– he’s shot close to 400 album covers.
Pattie Boyd, a model, writer and photographer, has been dubbed the “Queen of the Sixties,” serving as the muse to many famous rockers. Infamously the inspiration behind Eric Clapton’s hit song, “Layla,” she also had intimate access to the Beatles as the wife of George Harrison, which allowed her to get some of the most personal photos of the band ever taken.
Behind The Lens will take place at the City Winery in Nashville on September 13th. For more information and tickets, head to the City Winery’s site here.
