For those who think setting a high bar is the only way to go, maybe you should take a page out of Aaron Parnell Brown’s book.
When he went solo in 2012 as Aaron & the Spell, his only thoughts were to finish an album and make it onto a local radio station in Philadelphia. Well, Sing was released, and within the year NPR listed him as one of their “10 Acts You Should Know” and he was voted “Soul Artist of the Year” at 2014’s Tri-State Indie Awards.
With his newfound momentum, Brown is ready for more, moving forward with the knowledge that he can set the bar just a little bit higher this time. “Leave The Light On,” off of Brown’s sophomore album, Tin Man, is a mellow, soulful tune, infused with melancholy tenderness. Brown’s smooth, luscious vocals have the perfect hint of raspy edge, recalling the legendary Stevie Wonder.
Keep on the lookout for Tin Man, available now, and give “Leave The Light On” a listen below.
I am pretty sure that I saw him making out with an 80 year old white lady after a show I attended. Somebody said it was his gf!!!!!! gross.
