Hailing from Dallas, Texas, singer/songwriter and guitarist Charlie Oxford is gearing up for the re-release of his self-titled debut album with his bopping single, “Waiting For.”
With influences such as the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Oxford infuses elements of blues, funk, pop and brass into his music. “Waiting For” is this captivating blend of a funky bass line with interceding horns on top of a catchy pop chorus, asking his lover, “what are you waiting for?”
Oxford worked exclusively with Adam Smith on this record– which comes out September 25th– and together they created the myriad of sounds for the album’s DIY style. Now based in Nashville, Oxford is also working on two EPs which showcase his live performances and his artistic diversity. Make you check out this talented young performer now, because this star is definitely on the rise!
