Two weeks ago we teamed up with the brilliant musical masterminds behind Austin City Limits to bring you an exclusive clip of Cassandra Wilson’s gorgeous debut singing the songs of Billie Holiday. This week, a mega-talent from a different genre will grace the legendary stage.

In the hour-long special, the former member of the Eagles and prolific solo artist (eight Grammys ain’t too shabby) will make his ACL debut as he sings hits from throughout his career, as well as songs from Cass County, his fifth solo album which was released in September. Henley will also be joined by some big names in country music, including Ashley Monroe, Trisha Yearwood and Martina McBride, making for an undoubtedly unforgettable evening.

Elmore’s exclusive sneak-peek of the special features Henley performing “Talking to the Moon,” a sweet, lonesome tune, showcasing Henley’s finely tuned rasp. The song touches on the jazzier elements of Henley’s oeuvre, with simple, stripped down accompaniment.
