HUDSON, the emerging Los Angeles-based four-piece rock and roll band, will be releasing their sophomore album independently tomorrow. Cast Out captures the band members’ influences as they were growing up- The Beach Boys, Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd, as well as Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd and Nirvana. The energy in HUDSON’s live performances is evident in their studio recordings.
The band found their sound during a streak of live performances in early 2014, including a two-month residency at the Viper Room and many performances at SXSW. No frills throwback rock sounds combined with the tight friendship of a lead singer with songwriting skills and band mates with unwavering instrument capabilities makes Cast Out a buzz-worthy release.
Simply put, lead singer David Hudson says it best- “We want to create music that becomes a part of your life, songs that are with you in the best of times, your darkest hour, and every moment in between.”
