Armed with nothing but a Gibson guitar and her own fiery vocals, Patty Griffin has carved out an impressive career and solidified a place for herself amongst folk’s biggest names. A Grammy winner and, in 2007, the Americana Music Association’s “Artist Of The Year,” the singer/songwriter celebrates a career milestone with the release with Servant Of Love—her tenth studio album.
Known for her lyrical and truthful songwriting style, Griffin’s songs have been covered by Emmy Lou Harris, Kelly Clarkson and the Dixie Chicks just to name a few, and over the years she’s collaborated with such stars as Mavis Staples, Dierks Bentley, Shawn Colvin and Joshua Radin.
Continuing on her U.S. tour for Servant of Love, she’ll stop by the Vic in Chicago on Tuesday, October 18th with opening act Darlingside. Buy tickets for the performance here.
