Christmas is right around the corner, and even though the weather feels more like spring than winter most days, we’re still deep into that time of year that conjures visions of stockings by the fireplace and scents of sugar cookies, pine trees and cinnamon. Amongst the twinkling lights and red and green decor, Maggie McClure and Shane Henry’s “When I’m Home” reminds you that people are what make the holidays special. In their new holiday track, they sing about that special feeling you get when you know you can spend the holidays with the people who mean the most to you. “When I’m Home” is a sweet track, and the video incorporates home videos to show lovely, personal moments at home with family. McClure comments on the track, “It’s a simple melody that focuses upon the longing to be home with family to share those special times during the holidays. We’ve found that people react emotionally to the song, and particularly so, the few people who have seen the video we are premiering here. The video of my early Christmas mornings incorporated into the music video brings back magical memories of an enchanted childhood my parents worked so hard to create for me. I look back on the times in the video, and all of the times spent with family around the holidays throughout our lives, with great thanks.”
It’s a simple but important reminder for this festive time of year. The track comes from the duo’s all-original holiday EP Happiest of Holidays.
