One listen to William Wild’s song “Dreamin'” will have you quickly anticipating the March 4th release of the six-song EP, Steady Now. Garrett Sale, who picked up the moniker “William Wild” after being inspired by a homeless man, is a Knoxville-based Americana/Roots artist . The lyrics are soft and sincere on Steady Now, with Sale’s personal battles and honesty as major themes.
“Dreamin'”, Sale says, is a dramatization of the post breakup condition: “On paper everything looks pretty good, but its just not working. Deep down you know it doesn’t make sense, but you have learned to depend on one another. There seems to be this period of time in these situations where I would ponder the circumstances endlessly and then literally just lose my mind…that moment is what the chorus is supposed to represent…and trying to capture the emotion of “that” moment was where/when the song was born.”
Listen to “Dreamin'” below and keep an eye on William Wild’s website. Tickets to the hometown show on March 4th at the historic Bijou Theatre in Knoxville can be ordered here.
