IK Multimedia has unveiled a nifty new page turner, made for musicians but useful for any performer or lecturer working from notes. This Bluetooth page turner lets users turn pages and scroll through set lists, scores, lyric sheets, presentations, slides and other documents with a tap of the toe, without adding yet another clumsy wire. Innovative backlit buttons allow accurate but discreet use in dark venues.
About the size of an iPhone but an inch thick, the iRig BlueTurn is light and tough. iPhone-, iPad-, iPod touch-, Mac- and Android–compatible, just pair the iRig BlueTurn with whatever devices you use, and set ’er down. The backlit buttons are clearly marked back/up (^) or forward/down (v), and are wide-spaced to avoid missteps. The BlueTurn works with many popular page-turning and document software, and with IK Multimedia’s own iKlip Stage setlist management app.
The first Bluetooth page turner with backlit buttons, the device runs on two AAA batteries (included), so no charger necessary. The BlueTurn’s foot buttons have an unobtrusive glow and an ultra-low energy consumption rate, so the AAA batteries—readily available and inexpensive—last a long time.
Retailing for about $70, the iRig BlueTurn is available from music and electronics retailers worldwide or the IK online store, www.irigblueturn.com.
