“The blues band of [his] dreams,” Buffalo Springfield guitarist Stephen Stills launched blues supergroup The Rides in 2013 consisting of himself, young singer-songwriter Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and rock ‘n roll keyboardist Barry Goldberg. Though the band has only been operating for a few years, they’ve already released two records, the first a chart-topper and the latest, Pierced Arrow, releasing next month. In support of the new record (which Elmore got the behind-the-scenes scoop about), The Rides are heading out for a 16 show tour starting early May and ending in June.
