Indiana born Jon McLaughlin has been making his mark on the entertainment industry for some time now. In 2007, Island Def Jam Music Group released his debut record, Indiana. Four years ago, Island Records debuted “Beautiful Disaster,” which quickly found its way at the top of the charts. His songs were quickly picked up for films and commercials, inlcuding A Little Thing Called Life, Ghost Whisperer and Scrubs, and his popularity landed him a role in the box office hit Enchanted. In the film, he made a cameo to sing “So Close,” a song which was nominated for an Oscar, landing him a spot onstage at the 2008 Awards to reprise the tune. He’s opened for Sara Bareilles, Adele, Billy Joel and Kelly Clarkson and has written with other artists, including Jason Mraz.

McLaughlin latest effort, Like Us, was released last October on Razor & Tie Records. It’s filled with powerful songs about love and loss that showcase McLaughlin’s signature writing style.

On September 22nd, you can catch McLaughlin at New York City’s Highline Ballroom. Tickets can be purchased here or at the door.
