Produced by the epic blues guitarist himself at Skylab Recording in New Jersey, Bob Lanza is finally releasing his fourth album, Time to Let Go. For fans of Bob Lanza’s Blues Band, these tunes were worth waiting for- there’s a lot of soul, hard work and love in Lanza’s songs.

Time to Let Go further proves that Lanza is an outstanding blues musician. Blues comes from your heart and experiences, whether good or bad, and that shines through in every note. The Jersey boy learned from some of the very best (i.e. Johnny Copeland), and plays with some of the best too (killer harmonica from Steve Krase on Time to Let Go).

The title of the album comes from the idea that sometimes you do just need to let go and move on. Unfortunately for Lanza, these 11 originals and covers were being worked on as both his brother and mother passed away. “It’s a tribute to them, and a suggestion to all of the families that go through difficult times; you gotta let ‘em go and continue life,” Lanza has said.

Though skipping tracks on Time to Let Go is definitely NOT encouraged, standouts include “When the Sun Comes Up” and “You’re Not in Texas.”

Fellow Jersey boys and girls can catch Lanza this weekend at Roxy & Duke’s Roadhouse on October 1st in Dunellen and the Alba Vineyard on October 2nd in Milford.
