Do you write songs? Do you like money/fame/glory/bragging rights? Then what are you waiting for… enter the 2016 International Songwriting Competition! But you’ll have to hurry and get those creative juices flowing, because the deadline is rapidly approaching—all entries must be submitted by this Friday, November 4th.
For those who aren’t familiar with the ISC, it’s “an annual song contest whose mission is to provide the opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to have their songs heard in a professional, international arena.” Never written a song before? No problem! ISC is designed to nurture the musical talent of songwriters on all levels, and is open to both amateur and professional songwriters.
Entrants can submit songs to 23 categories of music, including country, folk/singer-songwriter, instrumental, jazz and even for unpublished and unsigned only. You can submit as many songs as you wish, in the same category or in multiple categories.
The entries will be judged by a major panel of industry insiders and performers, including Tom Waits, Donovan, Joe Bonamassa, John Mayall, Ray Benson, Ryan Bingham and more.
A total of 71 winners will share in more than $150,000 in cash and prizes, including an overall Grand Prize consisting of $25,000 (US) cash and much more in merchandise and services.
