John Oates hosts a special night: 100% great music, 100% for a worthy cause.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Oates (Hall and Oates), Nicki Bluhm (the Gramblers), Jackie Greene (The Black Crowes, Phil Lesh & Friends) Jason Crosby (Robert Randolph, Assembly of Dust), a lucky child like Bekka Bramlett (Bonnie & Delaney Bramlett), and others will perform to fund preschool scholarships for disadvantaged kids. Studies have found that reaching at-risk children early is critical to their success. The October 20 show at the Cutting Room pledges 100% of ticket sales to benefit the Blue Rose Foundation.
The show will be a tip of the hat to Steve Forbert (“Romeo’s Tune”), and each artist will perform one song of Forbert’s and a few of their own in this very intimate, exceptionally quirky Beaux-Arts venue (Have you ever seen a Salvador Dali-guitar bar? Or a Stratocaster chandelier?)
All proceeds will benefit economically disadvantaged children at the REACH school in Washington, CT, but the night of music will benefit you.
The Cutting Room is located at 44 E 32nd St., in NYC, doors open at 6:30 p.m. EST and the show begins at 8:00 p.m.. Tickets are on sale now at TheCuttingRoomNYC.com
