This Friday, December 9th, the Schimmel Center will throw a not to be missed musical event—An Evening with Tom Rush and Matt Nakoa with special guest Seth Glier—and Elmore wants to hook you up with a pair of tickets!
Located in the heart of Downtown Manhattan at Pace University, the Schimmel Center is an intimate location to showcase the talent of three different but equally dynamic singer/songwriters.
Rush helped shape the folk revival in the ’60s, and his music has had an impact far and wide, from James Taylor to Garth Brooks to Shawn Colvin and beyond. His shows are marked by humor and heart, from his terrific story-telling and the sweet melancholy of ballads to the passion of gritty blues. 52 years into his career, and he’s still as entertaining as ever.
Supporting him are two Elmore favorites, Matt Nakoa and Seth Glier. Nakoa regularly performs with Rush. He cut his teeth in the New York City bar scene, and has gone on to win many awards for his craft, including at the Kerrville Folk Festival’s prestigious New Folk Competition.
Glier is a young artist with mature stage presence, a talent he’s no doubt honed from his exhausting schedule playing over 150 shows a year. A singer/songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, you won’t want to miss seeing him while his star is still on the rise.
