Rock out for a good cause at Jesse Malin’s 2nd annual Velvet Elk Holiday Extravaganza at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom this Saturday, December 10th.
Malin will be joined by a headspinning array of special guests to have a grand old time and raise funds to purchase a new wheelchair for the band’s good friend Natty B.
The night kicks off with a series of performances by Holly Ramos, Richard Bacchus, Don DiLego & the Touristas, Tommy Stinson’s Cowboys in the Campfire and Jesse Malin himself. Then, the party continues with a song for song replay of the Rolling Stones’ Goats Head Soup.
Joining in on the fun will be Debbie Harry, Joan Jett, Diane Gentile, Hollis Brown and so many more. It’s sure to be a night of endless surprises and all the warmth and joy that the holidays can bring.
To get in the mood, give Hollis Brown’s new single, “Run Right To You,” a spin below. The Queens born rockers paired with Don DiLego on the track, which harkens back to their raw and energetic sessions for Gets Loaded, the band’s critically lauded, song for song revisiting of the Velvet Underground’s seminal album. The song is currently nominated for Little Steven’s Underground Garage “Coolest Song in the World” (vote for the track here), and hits Sirius radio today, December 5th.
