This Boston band’s latest release, Another Other, seems pretty darn personal. Frontman Naseem Khuri mixes his experienced-based songwriting with a hint of twang, some country melodies and a lot of rock ‘n’ roll. Speaking to the audience, relating to the crowd– those are the strong points that makes Kingsley Flood so likeable.

Tell your friends about “To The Wolves” in particular, before it’s blasted in movies and commercials. It’s a hit for sure. “A Ways Away” stands out, channeling more recent bands such as the Killers or Vampire Weekend. But, listening to this band overall, I’m immediately flooded (no pun intended) with reminders of Lenny Kravitz, Tom Petty (listen to track one, “The Bridge”), a little Hendrix even. With slick guitar playing and honest lyrics, Kingsley Flood is the definition of alt country. They could easily fill stadiums one day, as the next greatest American band.
