Soul singer Nick Moran is known for his lively and energetic approach to music; his latest collection, Easier Time, is a blues-fueled journey through modern-day life and love, struggles and triumphs, featuring a plethora of guitars, Hammond organs, Wurlitzers and horns.
Elmore premieres his new single “Baby Gets Home Tomorrow,” a funky, upbeat hand-clapper guaranteed to make anyone’s midweek brighter.
Moran said, “I wanted to launch off the album in a big way, really knock people off their feet a bit. This is my way of tipping my hat to the great old-soul singers that inspire me. Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, James Brown, all these legendary artist that have their quintessential song about being super excited to see someone they love. This is my own version of that type of song. I made a conscious effort not to overthink it, I just simply wanted to capture as much excitement and joy as I could pack into a song and arrangement, to create something big and bold and unafraid.”
