B.B. King Blues Club and Grill kindly donated its main room November 21 for the Only Love is Real Blues Benefit for Hurricane Maria event, to benefit Puerto Rican victims of Hurricane Maria. 100% of the donations go to aiding people, and donations are tax deductible.

The impressive lineup of artists includes: Alexis P. Suter, Vanessa Collier, Slam Allen, Tas Cru, Javier Luis and his twelve-piece band, Eddie Jackson’s Time Out (featuring surviving members of the Michael Packer Blues Band), Kareem Walkes, Frank Mirra, Michael Louis, Tom Terry, Daniel Weiss, Beareather Reddy, Miche Braden, Jerry Dugger and finally, members of the Brooklyn Interdenominational Choir. Hot salsa, funk, jazz and gospel will add to the mostly-blues repertoire.

Joining host Alexis Suter, Vicki Bell of the Alexis P. Suter Band and award-winning actress Barbara Rosenblat, of Orange is the New Black, Gotham and Homeland Security fame, will be co-hosting the evening.

Buy a ticket and participate in the silent auction and raffles of items donated by top blues artists and others. Musicians will be joining together in on-stage jams, and it will be a one-time event you won’t want to miss.
