Judith Owen is British and American, but she sings the entire UN. Happily, the entertainer returns to the the Iridium in Times Square on May 10, with a new CD, redisCOVERed.
Chanteuse, musician, satirist and comedian, Owen travels the world faking accents and languages, but never talent. Mixing cabaret with soul and lots of laughter, Owen’s intelligent patter keeps audiences from Paris, London, Rome, LA and New York on their toes, but her magnificent vocals are what keep them coming back.
Pianist Owen is backed by the impressive Leland Sklar (bass) and Pedro Segundo (percussion), but of course they’re great musicians—who wouldn’t want to travel the world, play music and be entertained nightly? Owen’s a great gig.
