Rhythm & Roots, in Ninigret State Park, Charlestown, RI, has remained a favorite destination for reporters who go to festivals for a living. Superb acts, great food, friendly atmosphere and unclaustrophobic viewing, R&R sells enough tickets to get by, but not so many attendees can’t get by. Fair warning: the tipping point is coming, folks.

This year, Taj Mahal, Steve Earle, Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams, Asleep At the Wheel, and one of my personal favorites, Shinyribs, a bundle of irreverent dynamite, among many others, will rock the stages and set dancers into frenzies. See lineup HERE.
