New Reveille’s distinctive talents are grounded in traditions that stretch back to early America. The band name, New Reveille, pays tribute to member Daniel Cook’s military grandfather who played Reveille in the mornings, and refers to a “new awakening” in music and culture.
With Daniel Cook on banjo and guitar, Amy Kamm on lead vocals, George Hage on guitar, and Autumn Brand on violin, the band also includes Kaitlin Grady on cello, adding a classical element. New Reveille’s unique sound encompasses the virtues of music that came before and the promise of what it might yet become.
Guitarist George Hage told Elmore, “‘Truth In Life’ is a song that could be played at a wedding or a funeral. It’s is a reminder to be present, live our lives to the fullest, and to appreciate those around us. It’s a call to celebrate and to reflect on the time we have together on this earth.”
