Good times will come...Someday

Lizzy & the Triggermen takes the wailing sound of 1930s big band and brings it to an arrestingly modern place, turning our troubles into gloriously raucous dance music that recharges the spirit—and just in time!

Powerhouse vocals and femme fatale swagger of Lizzy Shapiro (who also writes their songs) and killer arrangements by Dan Barrett (who played with and arranged for Benny Goodman) front a dream team of jazz musicians. In just a year, they’ve headlined some of Los Angeles’ premiere venues (the Wiltern, the El Rey, and the Troubadour) all without putting out a single track, just through word-of-mouth about their electric live shows.

In a vastly changed world from only two months ago, Lizzy & the Triggermen tap into a deep desire in audiences for something different, glamorous, underground, something that transports them into another, better, more carefree world. Shapiro told Elmore,

“We wanted to create a music video that brought to life the excitement of what it is like to be at one of our shows, where the dance floor is always filled with incredible swing dancers. We only had two days to put the shoot together and a shoestring budget. However, thanks to the amazing community of dancers that support our band and the awesome folks at the El Rey Theater, we were able to pull off something we are really proud of.”

Their debut EP, Good Songs for Bad Times is out May 15, 2020. If you’re looking for a good time, try Lizzy and the Triggermen.
