George Jones is a legend in the country music world, and now the late singer’s legacy will be enshrined in Music City forever with the George Jones Museum. The museum will open at an unspecified later date once construction and renovations have been completed.
“We are overjoyed to share George’s legacy and memory with the Nashville community,” Jones’ widow Nancy said in a statement. “We hope that this will draw George’s friends and fans worldwide to our great city. George and I made this our home, and he would be happy to know that we found a home to continue his legacy in the heart of Music City.”
The museum, which will be located on Second Avenue near the former site of the Charlie Daniels museum, will contain a live music venue, a restaurant, and a full event space, as well as loads of George Jones memorabilia.
