Ok ok, so we do our fair share of griping about technology over here at Elmore, but this Saturday we’ll be changing our ways– plunking down on our big, comfy couch, six-pack by our side, gearing up to watch Ryan Bingham sing his heart out in real time.
That’s right, the critically acclaimed Americana-darling will live stream his performance at the Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, Texas this Saturday, August 6 at 7:45pm PT/10:45pm ET on Amazon Music channel via Twitch.
For a young guy, Bingham has had a pretty remarkable career. “The Weary Kind,” his co-write with T-Bone Burnett for the 2009 film Crazy Heart scored him an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Critics’ Choice Award AND Grammy Award, a success he followed up as only Ryan Bingham could—he was named Artist of the Year by the Americana Music Association in 2010. In January of 2015, Bingham released his fifth studio album, Fear and Saturday Night, on Axster Bingham Records.
If you’re having doubts about this new-fangled live streaming thing, take comfort in the fact that this isn’t AmazonMusic’s first rodeo. They’ve recently (and successfully) broadcast Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Teddy Thompson, Blue October, the Alternative Press Music Awards and more.
Those of us who are extra tech-savvy can stream the show on Amazon devices including Amazon Fire TV and Fire tablets via the Twitch app. Not tech savvy? That’s ok, we’ll make it real simple for you!
Tune in right here.
